Pocket Guide to the Outdoors

Have you ever wondered how you are going to survive in the wilderness, then read this book, and I will give you some facts about it to get you ready. The first thing you need to do is to find out where you are sleeping, and what your shelter is going to look like. The most simple shelter to build is lean to, find a log, gather some leafy branches to prop up against the large sticks. After that, you are going to need a fire going, so all the bad bugs won't bother you. Also you will need a fire to cook your food if you get hungry. Hunt, fish, or gather your food, but get back to your shelter before it gets dark. After your meal, crush some leaves up and get the water that trickles out. When you wake up, you will need some breakfast, so if you have a knife with you, make some sturdy sticks sharp, and go spear fishing. Clean your spear in the water, get a fire going, and roast the fish over the fire. Pack up camp after breakfast, and hike a mile or two, then set up there. If there is no stream to fish of no hunting grounds, gather some berries, wild lettuce, and wild potatoes for a salad. If you want a snack if you are still hungry, find an oak tree or walnut tree, and break open the walnuts. I think that is all I need to tell you, so find this book and start reading, good luck.
